Hi Everyone

So on my last trip to the world, I was walking through The Contemporary and went into the (I think it's called Fantasia) gift shop on the bottom floor of the hotel. As I was walking by the shelves I saw they were selling these sets.

My Question is: Why are Syndrome and Randall part of the heroes play set? Aren't they basically the main villains of their respective movies?

Someone in China messed up?

That's crazy. Not so much that they put them in, but they'd even bother bringing up the "Disney Heroes" brand again. What? You don't remember Disney's 1/4 arsed attempt at creating a male-counterpart to their Princess line? It didn't last long, but some stuff got made including action figures of Hercules, Aladdin and even Prince Phillip. A Disney Adventurer's line was another variation (nothing to do with the Club, sadly).

The line died because by then Disney had Toy Story, Pirates and Cars to fill the boys merch slot and later Marvel too. This set has all Pixar characters anyway so maybe I shouldn't be so shocked.

Eh, it's been long enough since the movies came out. It's not like anyone will notice.

In all seriousness, there is probably a logical reason. When the little boys play with their Disney hero action figures, they might want a bad guy for them to defeat or something. It would make a lot of sense to me.

I agree with @kallick about wanting their villainous (sp?) counterpart to defeat!! But so true, why make it called "Disney Hero" when it's the bad guy? And in that case, where is Sid or that purple bear (I can't think of his name!!!) for Woody and buzz!!

Somebody working in that shop in China either doesn't know their Disney films or they have a mis-translation in the word HEROES. If I saw the set I might not buy it just because I wouldn't want Syndrome or Randall. Disney should pull the packages and rework the sets. :D Make more sense to include Mike and Elastigirl.

All of the heroes need bad guys. There wouldn't be much fun with all good guys. Who would they try to defeat? Just my opinion.

Then package the set as Heroes & Villains or sell a set of Villains by themselves. If they are packaging a villain/ movie character package then it still doesnt make sense to not include a Toy Story villain then.
