Disney Glasses at McDonalds.

Don't know if this suggestion will help, but on several previous occasions when there were a very large number of toys to be distributed/collected, there were order forms available in some of the McDonald's stores to buy (mail order) a complete set of the toys (this happened for the 101 different dalamatian toys produced for that promotion). This wasn't cheap, and not all stores or employees apparently even knew this was possible. I don't know if McDonald's offers this now or not (the Drive-Thru employee, upon my asking a while ago, just looked at me funny...).

In any event, I have the Steamboat Willie glass!

Why don't we...

...set up a toy exchange where we can trade off the doubles we have for doubles of other people we need. Just a thought.

Great Idea, MGM!

I went and got Dumbo, Tramp, Mickey (the new one), BAshful and Sebastian yesterday at my nice McDonald's. I also got the first glass. But today when we went to the other McDonald's in town the employees were all obnoxious about letting us go through the trouble of looking at the names on the stands thru the plastic baggies. :mad:
So, I have two extra Sebastian's up for grabs. We are also desperately seeking Mary Poppins and the blue fairy if anyone gets two of those.

Yep, looks like we'll be eating Mickey D's for a while.

Got three of the four glasses last night. The Buzz Lightyear glass is the hard one to find around here. I'll have to keep checking and calling different Mickey D's!

Does anyone else out there have a McD's that is doing the $.99 hamburger happy meals on Thursday evenings or is that just here? I just figured it would be an amazing chance to stock up on toys. :)

I picked up the Buzz Lightyear and Pinnochio. They were out of the others. Also, bought a happy meal, I felt kind of stupid since I'm 30 and have no kids. Anyway, I got Hercules.

No reason to feel stupid. My wife and I buy happy meals all the time (and we are in our late 30's with no kids). We have the Mickey and Pinnochio glasses and my wife was going back today to get the Buzz and Goofy glasses (the local McD has them all). As for figures we have gotten Flounder, Scamp, Timone, Fiddler Pig, Jane, Bernard, Doc twice (but one is a little defective) and Phil twice.

I just got back...I got the Pinnocio and Steamboat Willie glasses as well as two Pumbaa's and O'Malley.

So if anyone is looking for Pumbaa - I have an extra.

I just got back too! I got all the glasses except Buzz. They said he'd be out by the end of the week. Then I got Maleficent, Simba, and Meeko. Goin' back tomorrow, LOL!

I just want all those damb toys. But I have a feeling that it will just be impossible. 91 more...AHHHHH :(


I also wish there was a way that I can get them at a reasonable price. 1.79 a toy is a lot.

I got the Mickey glass the first day and then yesterday I went into to McDonalds again to get another one and the lady and they lady said they had all four available when I stated I already had the Mickey glass so I bought all three so now I have the entire set. YES!!

Some hints:

1 - go in the late evening hours when there are few or no patrons, you'll have a better chance of getting cooperation
2 - ask if you can purchase "toys only" I was able to buy as many as I wanted for $0.99 each.
3 - if you stretch the bag around the pedastal, you can fairly easily identify the name of the character

I basically sat at a table with the manager and we went through virtually every toy she had. We now have 36 of them. I'm planning to do it again in a couple of days after their next truck comes in.

How did you get the manager to let you do that? We tried asking if we could sit with the box and go thru it and they looked at us like we were nuts and said it wasn't allowed :(
