Disney Garbage Trucks

It's kinda weird, you have to be facing in the right direction for some spots to work right  .

I book-marked several interesting places here:

If you look closely, you'll see that the images of each direction were taken at different times - thus, they may not have captured all of the property during each "photo session".

Is that building an incinerator, or simply a transfer station? It's awfully tall to be a transfer station, so I presume that they just burn the trash there.

It looks like just a transfer station. Tipping floor(where trash is dumped from garbage truck) on upper level, with indoor crane(?) inside moving trash to one end where tractor trailer is waiting to be packed full of trash on lower level.

Hey heres a weird thought but works when I need information like this sometimes, email the company and ask for a photo and tell them why and they more then likely will send you one. But it is Disney so they might charge you $39.99 + S/H for it, but it will be worth it all.:)

I thought so too, at first. But we've built transfer stations here in Indiana and none were NEAR that tall. Perhaps they just pile it high and/or have their track-crane mounted extremely high. I wouldn't put it past Disney to have their own incinerator - especially as ahead of their time as they were when they put in all that original infrastructure.

Long time away from the boards...

Thinking of starting this project up again.

Does anyone have some pictures they could share of new Disney (Reedy Creek) garbage trucks?

Thanks!

Actually, while waiting for the bus at POR, I've seen them behind the fence picking up from behind the main building. They sneak around using the service entrances and back roads, I imagine. I don't think I've EVER seen one on the road during the day. I HAVE, however, seen the ERMCO electrical vans running around property, which always freaks me out because they're based in Indy - and we hire them as a subcontractor all the time here! I wanted to work for their WDW branch.....*sigh*
I see them all the time there but never thought to take a pic one
