I'd say look at this as a Adventures Club v 2.0. It's really just designed to see where guests are looking to trigger movements, and sounds in props. So instead of the action just being programmed, now it can be realtime.... I agree with .... Nothing to see here, move along....

This is the tech that runs the Animatronic Navi'i's eyes. It's called electromagnetic eye and Disney has been toying with it since 2009.

It'd be great if the animatronics grabbed them out of the boat/omnimover and flung them under the next car...It'd be great if the animatronics all turned and stared down anyone using flash photography.
And I thought the eyes following you on the portraits in HM were creepy enough...
