Hey CPers,

I'm interested in applying for the Disney College Program in the next year. I was wondering what impact, if any, visiting Disney parks in the past has on your process. I'm a very wide (all 5 resorts) and frequent (at least once a year) out of state Disney resorts visitor and I didn't know if that could help or hurt my chances of being accepted.

Thanks for your answers!

In all honesty, it is not that hard to be accepted overall. That being said, to improve your chances I would recommend applying early (by the end of September for Spring/February for Fall) and having a decent phone interview (which I know can be easier said than done, but they arent trying to fool you in their questions). They do generally ask if you are familiar with the resort and property but I knew many people on the program who had never been to a Disney park in their life. I recommend the program 100%!!

i had a roommate on my CP who knew NOTHING about disney or disney world.

just be yourself and let it be known how enthusiastic you are for the company and you'll be golden.

Find out when and where your local college is having a presentation. My daughter was a CP in Fall 2009 and is now a college rep at a local community college. They're having presentations this week. In a few weeks, she'll be the first at her SUNY college to offer info about the program.
