Nice! I heard a rumor that Enchanted Garden was going to be transformed into a new restaurant so I guess that's not true. We're going on the Dream next year - can't wait!

I’m not at all saying that it is happening. But just because they didn’t announce it today doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

It was true, but that was planned before the pandemic. It still could happen, but it appears that they are focusing more on the concierge this round.

So essentially taking away space from the kids by combining Vibe and Edge so they can add a super suite, and updating the concierge lounge while they’re at it, sounds like a nice upgrade for the 1% but unfortunately at the expense of the kids. I’m sure it makes sense financially but whether it’s an upgrade or not will ultimately depend on how well the new kids areas are done, could be an upgrade or a downgrade.

This is the Disney way. I guess we have been lucky that it has taken this long. IMO the biggest blow was the loss of the second story to Cove on the Wonder. So glad we got to enjoy it in 2016. Also glad we are on the Dream next month before all this happens.

Looking forward to sailing on her in August also.

Rip Outlook, Edge, and mega Vibe.

You will be dearly missed
On our Med cruise there were huge groups of the most obnoxious teenagers I've ever seen screaming and chasing each other through the atrium and common areas for entire sea days after they had all met at the clubs. I fully support Disney doing whatever they can to give parents more reason to actually supervise their punk kids.

I would take a show for one night in Enchanted Garden in exchange for ditching Crush in Animator's. Crush sucks.
Agree
I totally agree.

I love the drawing night though! It’s a huge crowd pleaser for all ages!
Also agree. Turtle talk with crush was never that great and certainly has not aged well. Drawn to animation is a much better use of animator's palette. And thematically makes much more sense. Turtle talk with crush really was more of a proof of concept that honestly didn't prove very well. They need to discontinue it. It has lasted far beyond what it should have.

Also, I sure hope they leave enchanted Garden alone. The show dinners are fun, but sometimes it’s nice to be able to talk to people.

I have to disagree here. The way they do Tiana's and even Tangled there's plenty of time for talk. The show is not constant. In fact the show is probably really only 20 to 30 minutes of the entire dining and experience and it's not even 20 or 30 minutes in a row. It's a 10-minute opening act. Then a 10-minute middle act, and then a 10-minute finale in between all of which there's plenty of time for just conversation at the dinner table. I really do think enchanted garden needs to be replaced. It is dated. It is not well maintained, the vast majority of it does not bloom anymore, it barely changes color as it's intended to go from daytime to night time during your dining experience, They don't use the buffet at all, it remains hidden behind an air wall, it just doesn't work. No one leaves enchanted garden going wow that was an amazing experience. Absolutely no one.

How does this give more reason? Maybe if Disney staff did more to police them. I don't think giving kids less space is going to help

Exactly, they need more space, not less. More space let’s them find a place where they’re not disturbing others.

At night outlook, older teens and YA would usually take over Outlook, even though it’s a reserved, private space, but security was usually okay and often encouraged it (occasionally depends on who’s leading security for the ship).

Outlook was an isolated space that couldn’t disturb other guests with noise or commotion, but now they’re giving it the axe, which should just add to the commotion.

Moving Edge to “deck 4 forward” is also interesting because the Vibe handicap entrance through the Deck 5 staterooms often causes issues as it’s more convenient but disturbs guests. Now, add edge and the situation will definitely worsen for Deck 5 forward.

5 Forward is already wrecked by audio seepage from the Walt Disney Theater. Those rooms need better soundproofing, period.

Or they can just continue to serve as GTY "upgrades" for people who are thrilled to get the extended balcony and don't complain about the noise because who's going to complain when they get bumped from a 7A to a 4E?

Here's a quick run-down of the things being axed with these changes (for better or worse)

Marvel WEB Workshop - will replace the Disney Infinity room in Oceaneer's Club
Edge - Will move from Deck 13 Funnel to Deck 5 Forward, which is currently home to Vibe. This will give a smaller footprint to Vibe, both inside and out.
Dream Tower Suite - will replace Edge on Deck 13, Funnel
Expanded Concierge Lounge - The only place to expand to are the "upstairs" Senses Spa treatment rooms on Deck 12, so losing Spa spaces for a larger concierge lounge
Senses Spa - Refreshed Check-in Area and expanded to add new rooms, sounds like they will make the check-in smaller and add the rooms that were removed upstairs to the old check-in area before the fitness center (and/or scale back the fitness center). The only other space to expand into would be guest rooms on Deck 11 Forward, Portside.
Cantina Quick Service - not sure where this will go as the phrasing says it will be added, so not replacing something. I doubt they'd replace EyeScream Treats, but maybe they combine Frozone/EyeScream into a smaller footprint to make room?

You can talk to people at the other dinners, lunch, breakfast, the pools and pretty much any other time of day. Dream and fantasy desperately need a show dinner to create more disney magic. It's lacking on the fantasy and dream.

So rather then being in the clubs you want teens to spend more time in the halls and common areas?

I hope they change the theme but forget the dinner shows. I feel like having 1 restaurant per cruise should be the max, it’s a much better balance.

Tiana’s is excellent, however, I think that should be the approach going forward rather than the Tangled, Frozen, and Marvel experiences.
Tianas is poor. Needs more music and originality.. Frozen is the way to go. Hope the next dinner show is Mulan or moana. Thus is what the paying public want. More disney magic. Not a boring cruise with nothing to do but eat average food and swim in tiny pools
