This small article seemed interesting to me, what do yuo guys think??

Walt Disney Co. is going to try an Experimental type of DVD that will begin flying off store shelves on Tuesday and self-destruct 48 hours later. Disney movies on disposable DVDs are set to arrive in convenience stores, pharmacies and other outlets in a four-city test of whether Americans will pick up a limited-life DVD rather than dropping by a video rental store.

Circuit City tried something similar with DivX, and they lost a lot of money before just plain canning it.

Not sure how different this will be, although with DixX you needed a player with special DivX decoding software.
