DISNEY DINING PLAN at GF Resort

We have booked a holiday which includes the Disney Dining Plan - Could you let us know of benefits and anything that may be negative on this plan for 2014 - Many thanks

Some people are really for it and some people, it just doesn't work for them. My DH and I have always traveled with and we are huge fans. The dining experience at Disney is a large part of our trip and we enjoy the Table Service experiences. I also like, although maybe not the most rational reason, is that everything is paid for ahead of time. Another member on the boards here created a website that helps figure out if the dining plan is a good deal for you or not. Unfortunately, I don't have the link as I thought I did but hopefully another member will have it and can post it for you. This is really helpful if you are on the fence about the dining plan. When I did the calculations, we were really close, but the dining plan ended up being a couple of dollars less then paying out of pocket. But it was close. Again, its not for everyone. But I like it. And I will continue to travel with it.

I would suggest scanning the menus either on this site or on allears.net then you can figure out which restaurant will give you the most value for the dinning plan. Some restaurants can be pricy out of pocket but when on the dining plan can be a great value. Like some character meals I might not do unless on the dining plan.

This ^^^^ We like the idea of having everything paid for before we arrive. Between prepaying for meals and loading up a gift card for a set amount, I know exactly what I'll spend prior to our vacation. The food is a huge part of our yearly trips, as well.

Love the dining plan and sitting down for a good meal each day.. I agree having it all paid for is great.. Keep in mind though the gratuity is not included with the meal

Really hoping that the DD Plan works for us. I adore Boma at the AK Lodge. Any recommendations for fun evening meals in D World? Been to 1950's Cafe before and was rather disappointed at Cinderella's Table - all thoughts welcome

The dining plan is just convenient, it no longer saves you money. Sometime meals are more enjoyable when they don't come with sticker shock
