I know I may not seem practical, but here is my thinking.... The Poly IS Disney to me... construction, etc... I get it, gonna be a pain in the keester... for what we spend, I would be miserable anywhere else, why?? it's not the Poly!! My TA knows me, and knows me well. She has done her best to make sure I am not disappointed, and knows I can book anywhere I want, but... its not going to be the Poly. @Kingdom Konsultant I owe you a bunch of roses! LOL Construction... I get it... ambiance may be marred... sigh, I get it... BUT its still the Poly... (dang, us Jerseyans are hard headed LOL) Im a positive person by nature... I keep thinking about Fall 2015 and the Poly in all her glory... OK let the flaming begin.. its not about $$$ to us, its about memories, 'nuf said

Think Trader Sam's would be a cool addition - net sum gain! Always did like the original name.
Not sure about the artist's rendition of the lobby? Will miss the water feature, BUT the Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge have great lobbies, w/o a water feature.

here's my thinking... for all of us Polynesian die hard fans.... its going to get better... show the love during the Poly's down days. I can only speak for myself, but regardless of refurbs. be there when your fav resort reigns supreme. GHC is going thru a major reburb... how long are you in the lobby??? TPV isn't what it was... book another longhouse... would I reserve a Concerge T
@DisneyDebNJ no worries, I just want to make sure that you are happy. :joyfull:
You can toast me with a Lapu Lapu ;)
Pam

Hiya, Deb!
Something came to mind, that I should have remembered before. With all the conjecture, even after the news and drawings from a few days ago.
In "Cranium Command", a great point is made by the character, General Knowledge-
"One lesson that Captain Buzzy learns from his training exercise is one we can all appreciate (and should remember): "Real stress or imagined stress, it doesn't matter beans to your body crew. They can't tell the difference, only you can."
Maybe the Eeyores should take note.
So true! (I do miss that show!)
I do agree with most all of the comments - maybe the DO folks will listen, especially about the fountain.
You have been "spot on"!!

That sounds like my best bet, I have Samoa and Niue as my choices, facing the pool, but there are no guarantees. Never stayed on the other side of the marina, so this will be a new adventure :)
I wanted to stay at the Samoa longhouse for our 15th anniversary, but it was being refurbished ( 2012).:( We ended up at Aeoteroa.
