I've gone on a 4-night and a 7-night Disney Cruise. We had to much fun on both! :sohappy: If we were to do another Disney Cruise, we'd DEFINITELY do the 7-night! On the 4-night we had an oceanview stateroom and 7-night we had a balcony. I'd also recommend getting the balcony room if it's in your budget. We would fall asleep listening to the waves every night....so relaxing!

Your servers go with you from restaurant to restaurant so you really get to know them and they get to know what you like. I love pickles and mayo. The first night I requested them and each night after that they were waiting for me at the table when I got there.

The shows are absolutely amazing! We didn't miss one the entire trip! Our ship was full....lots of kids....but you'd never know it! The adult pool is quiet and only adults allowed in that area. But when we would see kids, most were very well behaved. Only problem we ever saw was on deck 5 where the kids programs are.....the kids would cry when they'd have to LEAVE the program and go back with their parents!

And Castway Cay!!!!!! It's awesome!!!!!! We wish we could spend our whole vacation right there!

I highly recommend a Disney Cruise to anyone who'll listen! You'll definitely have a GREAT trip! :sohappy:

Side note: On our first cruise (the 4-night cruise) the first night I got sea sick. I was down for the count. My poor husband felt so bad and that I was sick. He wanted to stay with me, but at the same time he wanted to go out and explore the beautiful ship we were on. He had to go and get me something from the medical center to make me feel better. The next day I was feeling better and enjoyed the day. I just had to remember to take my dramamine and wear my Sea Band bracelets. The day we were at Castaway Cay I stupidly thought I wouldn't burn my legs (or feet!) while floating around Serenity Bay. Boy, was I wrong! I was as red as a lobster! Sooooo sore! Couldn't even wear shoes! Most painful burn I'd ever had, that's for sure! But, after all that, we still booked another cruise! Regarless of all I went through, I STILL had the best time of my life!

if you like cruises, and you dont go to disney often, id go with the land and sea option. if not i say open it up to a new experience and go cruising. Personally i hate water n it isnt for me, but i've had multiple people beg me to try it b/c thery're experience was so amazing.

People who go on disney cruises are always repeat offenders.....that should say it all right there

I have been on 3, 4 and 7 day. I was on all of the ships and I hava had the best time. I am going again in Oct and i got a balcony. It is the best bang for your buck vacation bar none, multiple ports all you can eat and just a fun atmosphere. Having been to WDW literaly thousands of times over the years the cruise is the best way to expierence the quality of Disney outside of the park. I would recomend it HIGHLY. PS its easy to pay for they have FL discount, payments and shipboard credit. If you want any more detail PST me.

My kids and I did a 3 night cruise in August of 2007

This August it's Villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge for 6 nights, then a 4 day cruise, then Villas at Wilderness Lodge for a night.

Yeah, you could say repeat offenders here :)

And, as a shameless (but well deserved) plug I am a dyed-in-the-wool plan it yourself kind of guy. Marie at Kingdom Konsultants saved me so much time, effort, and money setting up this Augusts cruise - she made a convert out of me.

I am definitely a repeat offender. Cruising is addictive. Disney does their cruises so well.

Compared to a theme park vacation, they are definitely more relaxing. But - definitely not boring. There's still so much to do on the cruise. My kids ds14 and dd11 truly love both vacations. I think if you asked them to pick one or the other they'd be hard pressed to do it. I know I would.:)

I've done a 4, 5, and 7 night. We're headed back for another 7 night in 23 days!!:sohappy:

If you're unsure, a land and sea vacation is a great way to go. Spend a few days at the parks and then go relax while sailing to paradise.:)

We were planning on booking a Disney Cruise with my DH, DS2 and another couple with their DS3 and DD1 at the end of September. They've never been to Disney or on a cruise so it was going to be soooo much fun! But now we can't go and they've changed their plans to go on a Carnival Cruise.:cry::cry:

But we can't go b/c we found out right after that I'm pregnant :sohappy: :sohappy::sohappy:and you can't cruise if you are over 24 wks which I'd be more like 31 at the start of our vacation. I wouldn't want to cruise at all to other countries if I was pregnant anyway.

Another time maybe......

We did the Disney cruise way back in December 1998. We did the 4 day park and 3 days at sea cruise. We stayed at the Poly for the first 4 nights and then traveled to the port. It was wonderful. We opted for a verandah cabin and it was fabulous and we much recommend it. Having our own private area when the ship began to sail was wonderful and we enjoyed it immensely. We liked sitting there late at night; it was very calming and relaxing.

We are veteran cruisers and truly enjoy our days at sea. I would definitely opt for a 7-day cruise and then spend some time at WDW. The 3-day cruise was great, but just too quick, IMHO. I did not feel we had much time to explore the ship, but we did find the shops pretty easily! ;) The day at Castaway Cay was the best and we enjoyed that a great deal. :sohappy: The ships are beautiful (we were on the Magic) and the rooms are beautifully furnished and detailed. The restaurants were lots of fun - especially when you go to your next scheduled restaurant and have the same servers!

The cruise is wonderful and highly recommended. There were a few glitches on our cruise, but nothing major and pretty much expected in the inaugural months in which we traveled.
