A suspected hacker from the online group known as "Anonymous" has been under investigation by the FBI since he allegedly posted a YouTube video that was a call-to-arms against Boston Children's Hospital - which subsequently faced attacks that took its networks offline for 7 days. Feds were alerted when he and his wife were reported missing.
He was found, by a Disney Cruise Ship in a sailboat near Cuba from which he was placing a distress call. DCL took him and his wife aboard and turned them over to Bahamian authorities who contacted the Miami FBI department.

More details at the news link - but I find this pretty interesting as its the first time I've heard of DCL rescuing someone from a distressed small vessel rather than an overboard passenger from another ship.

This was not technically a rescue, because they didn't bring the people aboard the ship, but here's a post of mine from '06:

That is totally awesome! You got lucky on your choice of stateroom that time for sure.

I once saw a flare go off sitting on the porch of a beach house when I was a kid and had to try and convince my dad and uncle of what I saw until another one went off. We called local police and watched as police lights left the bay and went out to a boat dead in the water. Quite a memorable night.

Just had a thought, what does Disney do with people they pick up? Is there a Disney "jail" and/or a holding area depending on the who is rescued?
