Disney Cruise Questions

Just booked my first cruise!

Going to be doing the 7-day Western Caribbean cruise in December.

I'm curious about a couple of things and hoping that some of you who have been on this cruise can answer.

I understand that there are fireworks on the ship. Do they have them every cruise, or just special cruises? Do they only have them once a cruise?

Are there any things that I should know? We booked a Category 5 cabin midship on the starboard side.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated!

Unless things have recently changed, the fireworks display is done once per cruise. It takes places during the "Pirates in the Caribbean" party. You're encouraged to wear pirate gear. :D

It's basically Captain Hook trying to "take over the ship" and a battle ensues that ends in a fireworks display. When you board your cruise, there should be an itinerary of events for the week and you'll see it on there.

Have a great trip!

Pirates in the Caribbean Party

Here is a short video from the Wonder 3 night cruise. The Fireworks are done once per cruise on the night that they have the Pirates in the Caribbean party. Some people really dressed the part and some didnt. It was really fun and afterward was the midnight buffet and they played a movie.

Previous posters are correct, they have them once on every cruise (weather permitting) on Pirates in the Carribean night.

Category 5's are great! You will love it.

I've linked a couple of cruise trip reports in recent cruise threads if you're interested. I've been on several if you have any specific questions.

If possible, I would recommend arriving in Port Canaveral on Friday night. That way you can be among the first to board on Saturday and maximize every minute you have on the ship.:)
