Hi guys sorry if this thread doesnt belong here, but I wasn't sure where else it would fit so I apologize in advance if I'm in the wrong spot
I'm so excited my friends and I are going on a Disney Cruise in August to the Bahamas, I've always been very loyal to the parks and have never even considered taking a cruise lol So what I'm wondering is what are your opinions on the cruise, and what do you think is a must to do while on board? thanks cant wait for you guys' input!

The onboard entertainment (evening shows) are great. Animator's pallete was an interesting experience. Snorkeling on Castway Cay was really cool, old 20k submarine there to explore. Other than that just exploring the ship and finding a nice relaxing spot is fun to me.

Yay for you!! I posted links to some of my cruise trip reports in another recent cruise thread if you're interested.

Which cruise are you going on? I might be able to help you out with activities in ports.

Don't miss PALO, it is wonderful!! The shows are also awesome. Don't skip the pirate party, the fireworks are super cool.

Castaway Cay is incredible. My favorite port by far!!

If you have any questions, just ask!:)

great thanks! thats such a big help, and I will be going on the 4 day bahaman cruise :sohappy:

Awesome! I did that one in January. At Castaway Cay, I agree with Gig 'em Mickey, snorkeling is great fun. Their stingray excursion is supposed to be one of the best too.

In Nassau I've done a few things. One day we just took a taxi to the public beach near Atlantis. We spent the morning there and then went back to the ship for lunch. After lunch and showers we walked around the shopping areas right next to the ship.

Another cruise we wanted to enjoy Atlantis and Disney's excursions were out of our price range, so we booked a room at the Comfort Suites across the street. People staying at Comfort Suites get full access to Atlantis. We took a taxi to Comfort Suites, checked in and out at the same time, and then walked to Atlantis. The aquariums, the water slides, the pools - all wonderful!!:)

I totally understand! The first time we cruised I was afraid I'd regret not going to the parks instead. We absolutely did not regret it!:)

Snorkling is a load of fun

I have done the stingrays at Nassau. The only complaint is that they take you out to this island where you have a LOAD of fun with the stingrays for about 2 hours. Only they leave you there for about 5. It would have been nice if we could have gone back to the ship (or elsewhere) instead of sitting on an island.
