Have you ever been in a line at some place unrelated to Disney and all of a sudden your having a conversation with total strangers about Disney?LOL!:D
I was just at the bank and the couple behind me started talking about where they wanted to go for vacation and the woman said Disney world ofcourse and the guy said nah,And she goes how can a disney fan, suddenly stop being a disney fan and he said he stopped being a disney fan when Eisner took over the reigns,He even said that when he used to live in Orlando they used to call him Mickey Eisner LOL!I couldn`t keep my mouth shut and I chimed in and said I love Disney world and we got into this lengthy discussion! basically this couple have been to all the disney parks and even said that DCA sucked. all the people around were looking at the 3 of us like we were on another planet! we talked about all the parks and Disney movies!:D
But then I had to go to the teller and the conversation ended!

I was at my dentist's office, and the woman talking with the receptionist when I went to check out was talking about WDW. A few minutes after joining the conversation, I found out that her daughter was one of my favorite CMs at the local Disney Store! I told her to say "hi", and then I ran into the daughter a couple of days later on my next visit to the store. Too funny!

Anyway, the conversation lasted way too long (I was late getting back to work), but we kept mentioning how some people "get" Disney, and some don't. Too true!

(I get it! I get it!) :sohappy: :sohappy:

Yeah, I mentioned that I got caught in a Disney conversation at the dentist, and they asked me if there was ever a place that I DIDN'T have a Disney conversation.

A few years back I was working at my job as a cave tour guide, and the person at the front of the tour line was a man travelling by himself. It was sort of odd because most of the guests we get are families or school/camp groups. I was getting a little bored and I noticed that he had on a Disney polo shirt, so I asked him if he had been to the park recently, which a lot of our guests have as we're on the route down from New York and Canada to Kissimmee. As it turns out, he works for WDW Performances as a designer/producer, and had coordinated the production of the last couple of big parades on Disney property. He was a nice enough guy but was a little full of himself, and you could tell that he saw my tourist trap operation as being second-rate... which it is. I can't for the life of me remember the guy's name, and I do remember that this happened back in 1999, well before the Tapestry of Nations or any of the big millenium parades.

I get in to Disney conversations a lot! I own about a million Disney t-shirts & sweatshirts, that I practically live in... so they're often the start of a conversation.. :)

I bug people at the gym with it all the time... because I use my "100 years of magic" tote bag i got there last November as a diaper bag! So I get the questions... and then the extended conversation. Hey, anything to keep me off the treadmill, I'm all for it.
Also, there is a woman whose daughter goes to dance class the same night as one of mine... and she is dressed head to toe Disney everything... a different shirt every time, purse, even socks I noticed once! I haven't had a chance to talk to her yet, but I'm just waiting for my opportunity.

Within the last week, I had:

a fairly short conversation at my son's dance class with two other parents, arguing that "no, it's never really too early to take the kids, as long as you're going to go back again with them later"

a lengthy conversation in the pediatrician's waiting room explaining all about pros and cons of DVC and relative merits of the various resorts

a brief conversation with one of the women in the cafeteria downstairs from my office answering when my next trip to WDW will be

a conversation with the lady in the Chinese food truck on the park across from my office after she asked me if I had been down to WDW since she last saw me last fall before the food trucks went into hibernation for the winter (that's really pathetic, isn't it?)
