DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

Very happy the Muppets will survive eviction.

Aerosmith was past their prime, and replacing with another band would just be kicking the can down the line.

The 'rollercoaster set to a random song' box is also being ticked by Cosmic Rewind, so they have the opportunity to give that up here to focus on making this as zany as a muppets ride deserves to be. Disney has the opportunity to really stick the landing here if this reimagining gets the attention it deserves.

There will always be a demand for WDW's (currently) only rollercoaster with inversions. This means The Muppets will be exposed to plenty of guests who may have opted to skip MuppetVision, potentially boosting their popularity with guests.

The cherry on top would be a successful reception leading to the Villains Show being replaced with MV3D once Villainsland is open. If we got a full relocation of Muppet Courtyard down the line, I would be okay with whatever plan they have for Animation Courtyard. If Hollywood Studios is continuing to go the way of "stepping into the movies", it would be weird to have a solo Muppet ride tacked onto the end of Sunset Blvd. Adding MuppetVision back here would be a relatively inexpensive lift to add another "movie" world for Guests to enter. It would only strengthen the Park's new identity in the long run.
