Disney cheer competitions

The Cheer comps and other similar events that draw in massive kids groups and their families does increase the crowds but you can work around them. Overall they arent too disruptive because they are at their competitions for most of the day. They slam the parks later in the afternoons and evenings, thats when you will mostly notice and feel the difference. Weve never had any issues with poor behavior in the parks. The bus waits at the end of the night will be longer. Depending on which resorts they are booked at, this will make it possibly noisier and kid crowded at the pools, hot tubs, food courts for you. Every time weve vacationed during an event weve noticed at our resort at night the kids run wild in the evenings and although they are supposed to be chaperoned and monitored, its never the case. Bring ear plugs to help cancel the noise. Dont expect complaints to the front desk to get you results.

I think the next few weekends will be busy with cheer competitions and school trips. My son leaves tonight for his senior trip, We've been during cheer competitions and it honestly wasn't so bad,. The resort seemed more busy (pools, food court) than the parks.

I have never seen a Brazilian group do their practice routines on the grass at Boardwalk! We are going the next 10 days, I forgot about the cheer groups as we normally go in March. Oh great!Could be worse.... the Brazilian tour groups weve encountered over the years have been ten times more disruptive in the parks. At least the cheer groups are somewhat respectable towards others in the parks. But kids will be kids.
Remember it’s not the kids fault it’s the parents!

No but they did a lot of disruption in front of the castle and along the walkways. Try moving a w/c past a group that’s planted themselves on the ground and refusing to move to allow you to pass. Yes I agree parents don’t raise kids with manners and respect but they should have some semblance of proper behavior towards others. And I know there’s US kids just as bad but as I stated, the tour groups we encountered over the years were far and above worse.

I normally go in May and they're almost always there.
Most of them stay at the All Star resorts, some at POP/AoA. Some of them are a bit rude and unaware of their surroundings (and very loud) but its fine for the most part, the parks are just a bit busier at the weekends.
I think part of it must happen at the contemporary too as whenever I've been there in may theres loads of them outside hanging around.
From what I could find it all ends on May 14th but another site is saying 7th so not too sure.
