Over the years, many (many, many) things have changed at Walt Disney World. Things change absolutely every single day, so after a while, you kinda stop noticing them. It’s just a thing that happens at the happiest place on Earth.

so little, but it ends up being kinda a HUGE change. And you might not even realize it. Just the other week, Disney World just up and changed the name of Magic Kingdom. ' data-reactid="24">Sometimes these changes are big, sometimes the changes are little. Sometimes, the change is actually so little, but it ends up being kinda a HUGE change. And you might not even realize it. Just the other week, Disney World just up and changed the name of Magic Kingdom.

Has anyone 'noticed' this as you were going to THE Magic Kingdom!? Pics of before and after would be nice to see!

To me, "Magic Kingdom Park" just seems a little redundant. Like opening a restaurant and calling it "The Diner Eatery". For me it will forever be known as Magic Kingdom or The Magic Kingdom.

I just copied and pasted article as OP(not my writing at all!) And yes I am referring to the Train Station Signage! Wonder what the reason was for the change and why did they drop the 'population' part of the sign!? It looks very plain and missing something now!

This topic was actually discussed a while back with some... strong opinions. FWIW, the name has officially been Magic Kingdom Park for quite a long time. But no one has ever actually called it that and I doubt anyone ever will.

I write and say MK so often, I often take for granted how wonderfully simple the name "Magic Kingdom" is. What's funny is that even now, some new WDW visitors learn the name of the park for the first time when they approach the park.

They add the "The" when they want to give it an old-timey flavor, such as an old train station sign. It makes it more formal-sounding.
