Disney Central

I don't get much time on Disney Central now that I am at school (the firewall here doesn't allow me to get on it, or if it does it moves unbelievably slow). When I was home and on it a few weeks ago, i noticed that there weren't a lot of people on it and that there was little to upload. Is this the norm now, or did I just get it at a bad time. I meant to ask this question a while ago, but it slipped my mind. If Disney Central isn't going as strong where is everyone getting their park music from?

A lot of people, I assume for simplicitys sake, have migrated to Disney Central Torrents at http://DC-torrents.com - same collections, different distribution. Dolby is normally active at IRC but his PC is down at the mo.

Just a reminder - DC dosn`t serve movies or park CDs. Home videos and collectors items only!

The problem is that Popkid's server is only on weekdays from 6p-6a and on weekends. There isn't a lot to download when his server isn't on. :)

I know that I've been using dc-torrents.com a lot to download audio and video.

I think most people use the torrents to get the new stuff when it comes out. I would guess many newcomers (God bless anyone new to all the stuff we have out there) still frequent the IRC channel to sort of catch up.

I sometimes go to the irc channel to try and maybe find some things I might have missed. Luckily I got some great Rocket Rods audio a few weeks ago that I totally missed before.

I guess I kinda miss doing the trivia and spontaneous conversations of the IRC channel, but the torrents site has a great forum and is the best way to download the latest files.

Ok...i signed up for the DC-Torrents site. How do I go about downloading and listening/viewing what I download. Do I need another program?

Thanks for the help.

I still am a little lost. I downloaded azureus...then I went to the dc-torrents site and downloaded an audio file and opened it with azureus. How do I get it to play now? Also, will I be able to add these files to my computer as mp3's once I download them?

Again, Thanks for the help

Hmmm.. I use abc, but the principle is the same. The torrent file you download first is a small data file. Once you have saved this, you click on it and it should open azureus - if not you`ll have to set file associations in Windows. Once azureus opens the torrent you should get the save as and location options etc. then azureus will begin to download the actual media file. If it`s an MP3, that`s what you`ll end up with once the download is complete, a WMV that`s what you`ll end up with etc..

I just downloaded ABC to try that instead. I think it might be something with the Firewall here as well, since it won't transfer on here. I think I got the hang of it, it is just my school keeping me from getting it.
