When you see the results of the !list trigger, there is a whole list of the servers on the left side of the screen, along with lots of text. Look for the abbreviation AQT (approximate queue time) to get a rough estimate of how long you'll have to wait. Be aware, though, that it's often a little conservative on the wait times. Also, the video servers tend to have very long queues. Just be patient--the wait is worth it.

Sometimes you can queue over a day for files - I kid you not - it depends how many people are in front of you, how big the file is they are downloading, how fast they can download (be aware of people with 56k downloads - they will take a LONG time for large video files) and how many downloads that particular server is capable of.

Hi Dolby!

I must be behind the times - never saw this before! Just signed up, I`ll get a proper look later. I recognise a lot of those files

What is the address for Disney Central?
There is a "How To" on the following thread posted by RU42. Pay attention to the first post, where it is mentioned that some of the settings changed since it was originally written. He has put the correct settings there, but there may be references to the old ones later in the thread.

As Marni said, a wait of twenty-four hours or longer is not uncommon. Especially for Dolbyman's server. (Mainly people dowloading Marni's files. Huge but WELL worth the wait.) The rest of the servers can be a long wait (but considerably less than 24 hours) depending on how many people are queued in front of you.

Just be patient and you'll get them.

A LOT of people queue a file then leave their computer on all night just to stay in queue. I do often, I just turn off the monitor and leave the computer connected to IRC.

No guys, not bittorents. I downloaded IRC for direct files from servers, and I dont really want to download another program for the same files. Im sorry if I sound rude, I dont mean to be.

I'm also sharing the larger files via the new torrent site ..

but all stuff (I have aprox 1000 disney files) will still be on the irc channel...

maybe I raise my bandwidth soon .. so more people can download .. :drevil:

Not sure if ther eis much else I can add.

The servers usually allow limited bandwidth for a variety of reasons. If they are a popular server they can get a lot of people waiting. Now add to this file sizes for videos and you get the bottomline - long waits.

It is unavoidable. Torrent is being targeted by legal beagles; I just saw a new attack today against them. Yes, what we have is legal on the Torrent but torrent is a huge focus for industry folks. IRC is a little less on their scope. Web is out due to cost considerations.

That is why we encourage lots of people to server. It isn't usually that hard to do - there are experts in the channel that can help you set up. This way instead of a couple people serving files the load get shared by many servers. This drives down the wait times considerably. We used to have about 8 very active servers and wait times were almost non-existent.

Plus, after you serve for a while we give you access to a special high speed node - you get the fresh releases first and at blazing speed. So, there is an up side to serving.
