100 Million Disney Facebook Fans

As George shared this morning, today’s a special day for us. And on Walt Disney’s birthday, we’re thrilled to announce a major social media milestone you’ve helped us reach – 100,000,000 fans across our network of Facebook pages.

Besides our Disneyland and Walt Disney World pages, there are more than 200 other official Disney brand, property and character pages attracting more than 5 million fans per week. And like our Disney Parks pages, each of them feature original video content, photos, news and links to other official pages. Many thanks to each and everyone of our fans for making the Disney community 100 million strong.

Wow that is amazing! I wonder if they gave the millionth person a prize! LOL
Just out of curiousity, does anyone know,which Facebook page has the most fans?

That's not exactly accurate. Disney is adding up all the fans on all their pages. For example, Disneyland has 6 million, followed by Disney World having 4.8 million. I didn't search all their properties, but obviously they are counting the same people more than once. The page with the most fans is actually a Facebook fan page which has about 20 million fans. Facebook has about 400 million users, and it's safe to say most of those users are spammers and inactive users. On the other hand, some people share a Facebook account, so 1 fan could actually be two people or a whole family of people.

Just a reminder -- it's a not a good idea to post on Facebook when you are going on vacation letting everyone know the best time to rob you. Facebook uses real names and you are typically connected to people you don't know, and/or don't realize what is public.
