Hey guys,

I have reservations for CBR for 9 nights in November and I'm wondering if the beds have been updated over the years (besides the current refurb). My wife and I stayed there about 9 years ago and she couldn't sleep on their rock hard beds. ..does anyone have any idea if these are likely the same beds if we don't get a refurbed room? Thanks in advance for your help!

We absolutely love the CBR. It is such a great choice and we have stayed there around eight or nine times!
We have looked at other resorts but nothing (in our opinion) matches it.
I accept that it does receive some negatives by being just about the biggest resort on site. However we think this is a PLUS.
What sets it apart, I believe, is the layout. It is so picturesque and we love wondering around just soaking it all up. Even though it has more rooms than almost any other Disney hotel on property, it is still incredibly quiet just mooching through the palm tree lined pathways. The view over the lake is a sight to behold and enhanced even more at dusk or sunset! Beautiful.
Yes, there is some walking involved to the central food court at Port Royale but it is well worth the trouble, and very little effort over the flat walkways.
There are quiet pools at each of the "villages" often we would have these to ourselves or with just a very small group of other guests.
The bus stops are convenient to each village and, as others have posted, there is more than adequate transportation to all guest areas.

ON THE SUBJECT OF BEDS.. (Above post) we stayed in Jamaica in July this year just after refurb. We always found the beds very comfortable and I don't think they have changed ( we like em firm though)
The new style rooms were really nice and an upgrade to previous.

The Food Court is great at the CBR with a good choice of quick service meals from several differing counters, the breakfast is pretty standard at each but the menus are more varied for lunch and dinner.
It is "family dining" so expect it to be more cafeteria than restaurant but it stands up well in comparison to the theme park locations of similar grade.

OUR TIP FOR THOSE ON THE DINE PLAN....
We realised that the dine plan is, of course, good for all hotels so we visited a few other locations for breakfast on various different days. (If driving there, Just mention if challenged that you are going to eat)
It's a great way to vary the fayre and sample the other resorts.

Have fun and be sure and take lots of photos as very few on the official websites really do it justice!

I would love to hear your impressions once you have stayed there... Have a great trip
