I think you meant the college program (although you could have meant the Career Start program). Anyway, I have done the CP 3 times. I think it is a great program, and a great experience. I learned a lot while down in FL. The main purpose of the CP is a paying internship to work in FL over a semester. I did merchandise and character attendant for my roles in FL. If you have any questions I can try to answer them.

Honestly? Skip the CareerStart Program, go to college for a semester, then do the College Program. I wish I had.

Do you mind if I ask why? My little cousin graduates next year and isn't sure about college so I recommended the career start. I was under the impression that the only differences are the name and the role types available.

Ok, here is my questions:
What is the whole reason for the program and what will I learn from it.
Is there a cost for the program.
And just some experiences people had with it.

Q1:
  • mostly u learn how to live on your own
  • u get to network with people that do the career you are wanting
  • u learn to save money(big learning opportunity)
Q2:
Yes there is...... The non-refundable Program Assessment Fee is a $73 cost (plus a $2.50 processing fee) applied to all participants in the Disney CareerStart Program. Once the payment is received, we will reserve your place on the program officially and send you your Disney CareerStart Program confirmation information.

Q3:
When i worked there last fall.....i did merchandise and worked at MouseGear in Epcot. It was an ok job......i got to experience disney during christmas which is really cool....the hardest part for me was being away from home....i got homesick....other than that i had a great time...especially with free admission into the parks.:)
