Disney Bus Maintenance Issues

Less related question you might know the answer to: Do the drivers (likely) know where they’re going the whole day or do the learn once they stop? How can they tell when a bus will get somewhere before even dispatching it?
I don’t believe Gooferynmost was ever a bus driver for the Disney company.

The bus drivers at Disney do get assigned different routes - you’ll hear them call in when they arrive at a park “dispatch, bus 2114 at Magic Kingdom over”
“2114 head over to 14 Caribbean beach”

It would be a nightmare if they weren't following some type of schedule. What was heard might be just communication informing dispatch that they were heading out. That might have been because of a late run, or covered for a bus caught in traffic or coming off a break and informing them they are back and in route. They have over 100 buses and would need 100 dispatchers with ginormous location boards to inform each driver of their next run all day long. I'm sorry but I did this enough to know that would not work. It is necessary if the driver is coming off standby or some other situation that I previously mentioned. Not as a normal system. There might even be a few that are just standby and need to be dispatched.

Yes
Disney needs Electric buses and 5 giant wind turbines to power them.. Disney needs to get off Fossil fuels..

Yes, we need more child labor in the cobalt production process by any means. By your standard Disney needs to stop supplying air conditioning, plastic popcorn buckets, ice, and non-people-powered rides, and close all the parks when ambient light provided by the sun is insufficient for normal operations.

It does work. They have a system. They know what they are doing.

The busses get assigned as they arrive at major stops. They run the route assigned and that ends at a major stop and they are given a new assignment.

On busy nights when the busses are stacked up at MK you can see the dispatcher in the white “Disney Transport” SUV - the busses stop at the suv and get assigned the route there.

This system used to be called “magic on demand” but not sure if it’s still referred to as that.

OK, if you say so and it would without a doubt be magic. Do you drive bus?

That would also explain why at WDW, sometimes, two buses roll up at once (or very close together).

Never thought of the no AC, but close the parks at dark is good... they used paper containers for popcorn for years.

Essentially, you're advocating for something like how Tivoli and Cypress Gardens started out. I've got a better idea, flatten all the major cities as they are concentrations of resource demands beyond their ability to be self-sufficient.
