we're heading out to wdw in a week or so and are staying onsite...i can't recall the last time i went to wdw without going to dtd but in its current state i can't conceive a reason to go (maybe for a meal at fulton's)...

so, whilst trying to think of night entertainment i remembered boardwalk (which we haven't been to in years)...what's on offer there? what type of entertainment do they have? is it a good substitute for/improvement on going to dtd? would you recommend it?

thanks for the advice and merry christmas :xmas:

Is there anything that KIDS can do after dark on the Boardwalk besides mini golf and ice cream? Are the carnival games still open then? What about the dueling pianos at Jellyrolls - are kids permitted to see that, or is it a regular bar?

I'm not sure what age bracket you are asking for but I think these suggestions may work.

Little Kids:
Midway Games (BWR)
Movies on the Beach (on the beach between the Yacht and Beach Club)
Surrey Bike Rentals (BWR)
The Yard Arcade (BWR)

Teens:
Coffee shops - Boardwalk Bakery, Boardwalk Joe's (both @ BWR), Java Bar (Swan)
Bike Rentals - Surrey Bikes (BWR), Bayside Marina (Y&BCR)
Boat Rentals - Cabana Beach Rentals (Dolphin), Bayside Marina (Y&BCR)
The Yard Arcade - BWR)

Dinning and entertainment for the Family: If the family is looking for great Japanese food and Sushi you could always go to Kimonos where you can sing karaoke.
And yes there is always Ice cream and Desert: Beaches and Cream (Y&BCR), The Fountain (Dolphin)

*As for Jellyrolls: It is a Bar and according to its rules and regs. you must be 21 to join in the fun. Although you may want to check, they may allow accompanied teens on certain nights.

They also serve ice cream in the Sweet shop at the Boardwalk and thats always a fun place for kids both young and old!

Cannot wait, will be there in two days!!!
