Hi all,
I have recently come into some money and want to have a really great free for all with the family at Disney. We have been before and have always stayed at the Poly. I guess my question is ..If you could go to Disney with a $30,000.00 budget and stay for 16 days what would you do different from your regular visits? Odd question I know.....but I really want my wife and kids ( 8 and 13) to have a blast. We did have a great time last summer for much less money but I thought I would throw it out there to get some ideas. We will be going in June of 2007.
Thanks

Buy a DVC

Do both an expensive vacation ant the GFLO and get a DVC. That way, you can take the $$ you spent on the hotel room and use it toward the down payment on the DVC.....2 for the price of one!:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Do some unusual things that you may not have been able to afford before:

-Parasaling on the Seven Seas Lagoon

-Wishes or Illuminations boat tour

-Dinner for you and your wife at Victoria and Alberts while your kids spend the night at one of the many babysitting services

-Book the Mediterrenean (sp?) cruise from the Disney Cruise

-Take the 7 hour, $200, Backstage Magic Tour

-Go have fun at the World of Disney store (that's what I would do!!!)

-And last....take me!

I would take a family that would otherwise not be able to afford to go at all. I really wish I had the money to do that. We have friends who will not likely ever be able to go....
That's a fantastic idea...spread the wealth and bring a loved one and their family.

If it were me, if I had unlimited money to spend I'd get a couple rooms at AKL or Boardwalk (I've always wanted to stay there) and take my parents and siblings and their families. Make it a true family vacation.

I do like the ideas that others have had about DVC. Look into it.
