That would be very unlikely to pass anti-monopoly laws.
But nothing says they can't do a joint venture in which Disney is effectively bolstering and milking WBD at the same time as if it were one company...

Why is Warner Brothers different than Fox?
Disney did have to divest some Fox holdings to get merger approval. And back then, the streaming war hadn't started. And a different Federal administration was in place that allowed such things as long you weren't on their I-hate-you list.

Oh so that’s why some of FOX remained separate.
I’m actually all-for non-monopoly laws and regulations and think there should be more of them, but at the same time I’m kinda like…. What difference does it make at this point?

Further consolidation of the "major" studios under one conglomerate means less competition and seen as anti-competitive and monopolistic.
I'm actually thinking at this point that even though rumored for a long time, Comcast would have the same problems trying to swallow WB as Disney would.
