I've been reading thread after thread about how high airfares have become maybe it's time for Disney to start thinking about starting a air service. They could incorporate the price of airfare into vacation packages or do discounts throughout certain times of the year or pin codes too.
If they can cruise the seas how about own some air? How are your feelings on this anything I may have missed?

They are already exposed to so much risk with 30,000 hotel rooms to fill and 4 cruise ships... that is why they have an "official" airline. I believe you can get marginal deals booking with Southwest, but they have never been better than other deals available/booking separately, in my experience.

There are already threads about this.....

One of the reasons they don't do this is because the Disney resorts and Cruise line are destinations. Airlines are not. Many planes fly from many places to essentially get to a single destination (if you are speaking Disneyworld.) The initial investment would be huge, only to enter an extreamly unstable business.

Well while they don't have their own airline. They are only a sponsor for the airline..With Disney being an Official airline of Eastern, Delta...Etc..

Wish I was able to go on these planes tho..Alaska Airlines decks out thier planes going to DL.....

JAL Celebrated their 50th Anniversary with Decked out Disney Planes as well. Called The Dream Express.

Wow, those are some really cool pictures. I've never seen those before.

I really dont think a Disney Airline would work, people fly from all over to Orlando. I dont think you could ever get a full plane of people flying into Orlando just for WDW.
