Disney After Hours BOO BASH

Thanks for the info. As you know I’m there for 50th. Was going to leave 10/5 then Boo Bash was released. So going to Boo Bash night of 10/5 with checkout on 10/6. Originally had opportunities for LTT and Skipper Canteen after 7 but decided I would be pushing it. Instead have an ADR at Grand Floridian at 6. Then can leisurely enter MK after 7 when done for dinner. (BTW, have breakfast at Boma at 10:40. 10/5 is my “wild card” day. Likely to drive to TTC afterward and park in preferred, spend the day in Epcot, then return by monorail to GF for dinner and Boo Bash. Return to car in TTC lot afterward.)
Sounds like a good plan!

Ask at your hotel concierge (provided you are staying on Disney property) the afternoon of the party. They will know if any are available for sale, or can easily call over to ticketing. As far as I know, if they are not purchased in advance, they'll need to be purchased at the main gate.

My interest is for those who attended previous years and went this year and can do a comparison to this years event.

As compared to previous years which was better?

What made it worth going even though you paid extra dollars as compared to previous years?

I'm admittedly playing messenger here - since I haven't myself, but talked with a few friends who are in that exact category.

The general idea I've heard is - go in apples to oranges if you want the best mindset.

MNSSHP was more of an "event". It had more unique offerings, and the rides were secondary. While not nearly as much and a TOTALLY different audience, its best comparison would be Halloween Horror Nights. Where the focus is really on the shows, candy, wearing costumes, special food, overlays, etc. - and having short lines was just an added perk should you want to take advantage to that.

Boo Bash is an after hours event. So, that means the short lines are really the focus - in an environment that is lower crowd and with added festivities. You are there to have open access to MK. The added benefits are special environment theme (like the cavalcades) and special characters around. Boo Bash also adds on the extra perks of the candy and costumes - for a price hike. Boo Bash is best compared to the previous after hours events - or like a super, extra themed Extra Magic Hours with bonus food and character interactions (and price tag to follow).

I have generally heard the price "isn't worth it" from those people. But, they are more event people who can go to MK when they want to go. They wanted all the Halloween Offerings, comparing to MNSSHP (even knowing they shouldn't). And it fell short there. Having short ride lines isn't as valuable to them. If you are viewing this as a very pricey extra half-day at MK with almost a permanent FP line (compared to the normal day crowd level), then it could be worth it.

I hope that gives at least one perspective!

They’re all sold out but it seems that tickets have been available most days, day of. My question is, does anyone know if there’s a way to find out if they are available without heading to MK and if there’s somewhere else, like a Disney ticket desk at a hotel or other park to purchase them? Thanks in advance.

I am wondering this too. I can't see to find a clear answer anywhere as to where you can buy the tickets day of.

Been watching couple vids of the events from last month and it looks like while there are the occasional guests here and there with a bit of Halloween attire there were few full on cosplay guests. Not a Halloween event as described above. Going to be there on Oct 8, and maybe that will change somewhat.

Thank you, it does help when making the decision on whether or not to attend.

Great, now my husband won’t want to go. He heard Styx and U2 on Sirius xm today and said “are we in hell?” Just sent him a screenshot of your post and he asked if it’s too late to cancel. 😂

Have him call me right now. 🤨

I'll sing him my rendition of Mr. Roboto.
It's Chicago representing! Only thing that would make it better is Cheap Trick!
