Disney’s Vista Mythica is a Disney Park located on a plot of land that is currently occupied in part by the Coronado Springs Hotel but is mostly empty. The park takes guests through the mythologies of Greece, Europe, Norway, Egypt, Japan, India, Mexico, and the Pacific Northwest. Rather than having one main landmark, each section has its own distinctive landmark that fits in with the land's theme along with a section marketplace and a section mascot, which exists in statue form at the section's entrance. The Coronado Springs hotel is demolished to make way for the park but the pool's theming is moved to the Maya section of the park and the bus stop near the Gran Destino Tower becomes the bus stop for Vista Mythica. There is also a Skyway expansion connecting Vista Mythica to DHS and EPCOT along with a Monorail expansion that connects Vista Mythica to The Magic Kingdom. Vista Mythica is a calmer park that was designed with those who need a less hectic experience than MK, EPCOT, DHS, or DAK in mind. Vista Mythica was designed with all ages in mind, which is why there are calm rides and walkthroughs interspersed with darker rides. All the rides are indoor dark rides. Guests enter the park through The Grand Gate Of Vista Mythica, a giant gate incorporating the architectural styles of Minoan Crete, Medieval Europe, 1700s Norway, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Japan, Ancient India, The Classic Maya Civilization, and American Folk Victorian. The Grand Gate Of Vista Mythica also holds Villa Mythos, an in-park hotel with rooms overlooking the park with rooms themed to the different cultures represented by the park.
KNOSSOS: The ”Main Street” of this park is themed around the ancient Crete, specifically the alleged palace of King Minos at Knossos, which is one of the oldest sites in Greece. Guests can explore the labyrinthine palace that was once said to be home to the Minotaur. Guests can also shop at a marketplace outside of the Palace. The section landmark is the Palace of Knossos and the section mascot is the Minotaur.
EUROPA: This section is themed to Medieval Europe with architectural influences taken from The United Kingdom. Guests here can explore a historically accurate Medieval European village with locations like a watermill, a Gothic cathedral, farmland, a tavern, a roving band of musicians that play medieval songs, and a castle home to The Tale of The Griffin, this section's main attraction. This is a omnimover dark ride which tells the story of ”The Griffin” by The Brothers Grimm. The ride exits into the village marketplace, which sells medieval and griffin related souvenirs. The section landmark is the Castle and the mascot is The Griffin.
NORGE: This section is themed to a coastal village in Norway where guests can shop and eat seafood. The main attraction, however, is located on the old fishing docks at the far edge of town. This attraction is called Fury Of The Kraken. This is a rapids ride taking guests through a troll-filled bog reminiscent of Maelstrom to the sea, where they encounter a Kraken's whirlpool, where the beast's tentacles emerge and it tries to capsize the boat. The section landmark is a snowy mountain and the mascot is The Kraken.
KEMET: This section, themed to Ancient Egypt, takes guests to Giza, home of the Pyramids and Sphinx. Here, guests can explore the pyramids or answer riddles posed by the Great Sphinx of Giza. Guests can also shop in an Egyptian marketplace and explore the Labyrinth Of Hawara. The section landmark/mascot is the Great Sphinx of Giza.
NIHON: This section, themed to Japan, takes guests to ancient Kyoto, which used to be the capital of Japan. Guests here can shop in the Kyoto Marketplace, dine in an Izakaya, a traditional Japanese type of casual restaurant, watch Geishas perform, and visit a replica of the Fushimi-Inari-taisha, a famous Shinto shrine devoted to Inari, a Japanese god associated with foxes. Here, guests can view little fox statues, enjoy tsujiura senbei, a Japanese-style fortune cookie, wander the 1,000 Torii gates, and visit the holy mirror, where Kitsune spirits can be seen. The section mascot is the Kitsune and the section landmark is the Fushimi-Inari-taisha.
BHARAT: This section, themed to Ancient India, transports guests into The Ramayana, a Hindu Epic. Guests can shop in the marketplace, or enter the Palace Of King Rama, where they can dine in the Grand Dining Hall Of King Rama or ride on suspended chariots through the story of how King Rama with aid from Hanuman the Monkey King and Shiva’s sage Agastya saved Rama's wife Sita from Ravana The Demon King Of Lanka, a 10 headed, 20 eyed, and 20 armed demon who was blessed by the creator god Brahma to be invincible to gods and demons. This section’s landmark is King Rama's Palace and the section mascot is Hanuman.
MA'YA'AB: This section, themed to the Classic Maya civilization of the Yucatán Peninsula, takes guests to the ancient city of Tulum, where they can shop in an open air marketplace or go into the jungle, where they can find the main attraction, XIBALBA: THE LAND OF THE DEAD. This is a boat-based dark ride taking guests on a voyage accompanying Hunahpu and Xbalanque, the Maya Hero Twins, down a cenote, a former cave filled with water believed by the ancient Maya to be portals to Xibalba, the land of the dead, and into the House Of Bats, where they meet Camazotz, a giant Man-Bat hybrid with time manipulation powers who decapitates people. Hunahpu and Xbalanque bargain with the wicked bat which says that the gods of death can no longer demand human sacrifices. The bargain succeeds after a ballgame against Camaztoz in which the giant bat-human hybrid and his legion of bats try their hardest to keep human sacrifices flowing in. Camazotz even turns back time to the beginning of the game in an attempt to win, but fails. The section landmark is the pyramid of Tulum and the section mascot is Camazotz. PORTLAND: This section is themed to the city of Portland, Oregon. Guests here can wander the Main Street, where they can shop and dine. At the end of town, there is an old Folk Victorian lodge home to The Hunt For Bigfoot, the main attraction of the section. This EMV dark ride takes guests through the forests of Oregon in search of the mystical, spiritual being known as Bigfoot. The section landmark is the Folk Victorian Lodge and the section mascot is Bigfoot.
