Thats quite a price hike on D+. I guess they want everyone to switch to the Ad supported plan because they'll make more.

D+ has consistently been underpriced compared to peers and even with this jump is less than Netflix, HBO Max, etc. (No I don't consider something like Paramount+ to be a "peer" given the content differences).

They probably feel like the content is sufficient enough to maintain subs despite the hike. Obviously, the ad tier gives people an option to keep it at the same price if desired.

I agree it was undervalued at the current price point. But going by % of cost its a big increase.
