Can you imagine if Disney would put a walking tour of the parks on the memory chips you can buy and listen to it while there? With all the history and stuff?

ESPECIALLY if Roy Disney did it! That would be VERY cool!!!!
Especially when Roy Disney did it, I WOULDN'T buy it... (if any)

While this is an innovative/interesting idea, I think I'll stick to my I-River thank you ^^;

I know this is a bit off topic, but I-Pods tend to break very very easily. My mother bought an I-Pod mini for her birthday in July, and we've had some tech problems with it. I've also heard other horror stories such as a class mate of mine had her I-Pod for about one year and it one day decided just to stop working. It froze up and she had to send it to Apple for them to say 'Faulty Equipment'.

Sorry for the I-Pod Rant XD;

Nope, its the ipod itself. The sound quality just isn't up to par with the leaders in the portable mp3 industry. Reason? Apple uses the cheapest parts possible.

You can't notice it unless you listen to a high bitrate song on one player, such as sandisk, rio, or iriver, and then on an ipod. But it is noticable once you do.
I have both an iriver and an ipod and I don't see the difference (in sound quality). I love my ipod because it holds so much. I love my iriver because I listen to both my mp3s and the radio. :wave:

Let me guess, you use a 128kpbs bit rate on your mp3s. Even then, you should be able to hear the difference. Granted, depends on how into the nuances of the music you are. If you just listen to the words, of course you can't hear anything.

Ummm....yeah, what you said. :lookaroun
Life is toooo short to get worked up over the 'nuances'. If I can hear the words, if I can tell the types of instrument being used, if it is relatively clear, I am happy. I run marathons and I use the music to guide my pace.

And just to make sure I am clear, I am NOT bashing your opinion at all. I think if you love something, then go with it. I was speaking from my point of view, that is all. :)

Just wanted to say that I got one of these for Princess #2 who just turned 11. I had ordered it a couple of weeks ago and it was back ordered. (ended up going with the Tinkerbell version). Also ordered the carrying case to go with it.

Found them in our local Target store - the Target in the neighboring city does not carry them as of yet. $49.99, just like Disney.com

It is very easy to use and comes with Windows Media Player software. My 11 y/o had no problem transferring the files and downloading them... very easy... also very easy to erase the files and re load.
The sound quality is pretty good (though not as good as the Dell DJ that costs almost 10 times as much :lol: ). It charges thru the usb port on the computer and takes about 4 hours to fully charge for about 8 hrs of playing time. It comes with a pair of ear buds and a break away lanyard that is pretty strong. Haven't been able to find the music chips in the store so we will order these direct. My sd chip from the camera fits so I may give her one to put music on for now.

I'm thinking of getting the silver one (the "boys version") for myself, but I'm told to wait until after Christmas.

i already have a mp3 player similar to this. but i like the expandability.

the one problem i have with ipods are that Itunes have all the great songs. but you cant put them on any other player except ipods. you have to burn them on a disk then to your computer and then to your player...

argggg.
