Pleasure island makeover

About a year ago there was a rumour that pleasure island was getting transformed into a more family friendly area and there were talks of the clubs being turned into bowling alleys etc.



I MEAN PLEASURE ISLAND!!!! Sorry lol. (Talking about discovery island with my cousin and ended up writing it instead of pleasure island.)
What happened to this. I could of sworn it had been confirmed.

I don't think anyone knows what Disney plans to do with Discovery Island, if there are any plans at all. There were rumors of making an attraction based on the game Myst. I also believe at one point there were rumors about building honeymoon villas on the island, but obviously neither of those rumors ended up becoming a reality.

I always thought it would be cool to turn DI into a nighttime entertainment destination for adults. Have an island theme (obviously) with live music, Djs, etc. I doubt there is enough guest demand for Disney to build something like that, but I always thought it would be fun to take a boat out to an island and party. Even if there is the demand, I'm sure it would be a logistical nightmare.

There's been one small change since that article was posted. Disney is now saying that the bowling center will open in 2012, not 2011.
