Discovery Cove says it is bringing back discounted rates for Florida residents.

SeaWorld's boutique park says Florida residents can purchase all-inclusive passes for $199 (compared with the regular rate of $289) or non-dolphin-swim passes for $99 (compared with $189).

The Florida resident rates are valid from Jan. 1 through March 31, April 27 through May 22, and Sept. 8 through Dec. 18.

Doesn't really appeal to me, have done Discovery Cove twice now, it's the type of park we think only needs to be done once or twice every ten years or so, otherwise it will spoil what its purpose is.

Thanks for the info though.

I read somewhere that the $99 rate is only good if someone in your group pays the $199. Could be wrong, it won't be the first time (or last).

Seems like a good idea, lure the locals in with offers to keep numbers up during the difficult times. Discovery Cove would probably be the first thing knocked off itineraries because of the price but locals might think its a 'bargain' and take it up!
