Discover New Mediums of Expression at the Festival of the Masters
Today through Sunday, November 14th, Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World is hosting the 35th Annual Festival of the Masters. More than 150 award-winning artists are showcasing their works in a wide variety categories including clay, digital art, drawing, glass, jewelry, leather, fibers, paper, mixed media or collage, paintings, photography, sculpture, watercolor and wood. The Festival of the Masters is a terrific way to discover the vast array of techniques and media available for self-expression. Beginning at the Westside you'll find these artisans along the walkways between Cirque du Soleil and the AMC Theater while the Marketplace showcases a larger number of the hands-on interactive stations.

Outside DisneyQuest you can Learn to Draw popular Disney Characters. Here's the posted schedule: Mickey 11a & 2p; Donald 11:30a & 2:30p; Pluto 12p & 3:30p; Minnie 1p & 4p; Goofy 1:30p & 4:30p
With my toddler starting on the Westside was great because we were able to stroll along the various booths beginning with the mixed media folk art found near House of Blues, the drawing classes found at DisneyQuest, past the large sculptures by Bongos and just about the time he began to lose interest due to my slow pace while exploring each booth we reached the Vinylmation interactive station outside D-Street. With Sharpies provided by event sponsor guests are invited to decorate the nearly life-sized Vinylmation template.

Continuing our stroll we discovered each of the Downtown Disney restaurants have booths setup offering easy to a la carte items for Festival goers. Portobello presents their Meatball Sliders, Raglan Road offers Chicken & Wild Mushroom Pie, House of Blues, a Slow Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich, etc.
