Discounts for runners?

Hi--

I'm thinking this might be obvious, but I haven't found the answer anywhere yet...

Are there resort/hotel/park discounts offered for runners? I would love to run the Disney 1/2 but am hesitant to commit to the costs of travel as well as parks. lodging, etc. I would love to know I could do a great race & Disney with my family--without breaking our small bank!

They do have a discounted rate for runners called the marathon package but it is a slim discount...on the order of 10%-15%. You can frequently do much better with the general public discounts available.

I'm a AAA member, so I booked my Marathon package that way. My travel agent is the best.
I'm running the 1/2 as well, hope to see you there!

I plan on having Master Yoda book my 2012 marathon package for me and then having him watch for any public discounts that might be better for us to apply.
