I read somewhere that someone went to the Walmart around WDW and was able to pick up discounted park tickets for Universal and such.
Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks in advance!

Last I checked there were 2 Wal-Marts around WDW that sell tickets but the prices were gate price or about 3%-4% off gate prices at the most. Maple Leaf and Undercover Tourist will typically have better prices than Wal-Mart.

So if I were to buy tickets elsewhere at discount, and stay on Disney property, could those tickets be handed in at the hotel and added on to your room key, so you don't have to carry both room key and tickets??

Ive never seem theme park tickets at my local walmart, I am near Hershey Park & Dorney Park, so I was a little unsure of how true it was.
As always, Thanks Richard!!

The savings is not much. The Wal-Mart stores close to Disney do sell all area park tickets but IMO youre better off to book a package . In response to adding your tickets to your room key cannot be done , must be bought with room / package . I also work for Wal-Mart and associates can save a little more through their benefits. Hope this helps.

I think the front desk of the hotels can actually code separate tickets to your room key. Not sure if this depends on where you purchased the tickets, though.

To the best of my knowledge, it is not possible to add a ticket that isn't purchased at the resort hotel to a Key to the World card.

We purchased our park passes online through Undercover Tourist and used them 2 weeks ago. There was absolutely no problem adding them to our room card. They even asked if we wanted the park passes back as a souvenir.
