Discount for GM Employees? GameStop?

I have always heard the rumor that as an employee for GM, that they give discounts on tickets to Disney because we sponsor Test Track.

Anyone know how to go about doing that? No one here at the dealership knows anything about it.

My brother, who is a manager for GameStop, has heard the same rumor about his work as well. But neither of us know how to go about getting the discount.

Or do yall think that these are just rumors?

I would try to contact your HR department at Corporate. If anyone would know, it would be them. Good luck!! Marie

Quick Google appears to indicate that GM retirees can get 12% off WDW tickets, I'd assume similar for employees. That said, if you are going through a dealership, would one actually be a GM employee? IE does your check come from GM or does it come from the dealership? Most ones around here aren't owned by GM, so I don't think you would technically be a GM employee.
Gamestop may indeed offer ticket discounts, lots of HR departments do participate in programs that offer discounts on things like that to employees.
In either case, you would most likely need to work with the HR/benefits team to get access and see what the discounts actually are along with any eligibility requirements. I know some programs don't offer much in the way of ticket discounts so going through someone like Undercover Tourist may be a better option.

In most cases no. Direct automaker to consumer sales are now prohibited in almost every state by franchise laws requiring that new cars be sold only by licensed, independently owned dealerships.

To my knowledge, the only dealerships owned and operated by the car manufacture are Tesla dealerships.
