I called yesterday afternoon and the CM changed the reservation for me and applied a credit (less a $50 rebooking fee). I am staying at a Deluxe, so it can be done.

Newbie Question?

I see all these discount codes being tossed around here. Are they for AP memebers only or can anyone use them? Which leads to my next question, I already have everythign booked for our trip, staying at CBR April 21-28, however I booked this through AAA. Would I still be able to get an additional discounts through Disney?

I have a reservation for Pop April 22-29th and they still wouldn't apply the code to my already existing room. The reservation agent was very sweet and helpful but, she said that since there are no discount rooms available at my resort then she can't apply the code. We have always made our reservations and then months later when the codes are released we call and the discount is applied no problem, now they say they can't do it. I'm going to keep calling everyday until I get someone to apply the code to my ressie.

JPVondrake or Wannabebelle can probably give you the truth on this, but I believe that the only way to apply a discount to an existing reservation is to actually unbook the first one then book one of the discounted rooms. So, if no rooms exist at that discount, then there's nothing to "rebook" you on once they unbook the first one.

Brkgnews is correct.

How the system works is there is a limited number of discounted rooms on any given date during the offer period. Some dates may have more rooms discounted then others. The system checks for availability of your arrival date for the rate, and then general availability for the remaining days of your stay.

When a new discount offer is released, the number of rooms available on the offer for each date is based on a preset percentage of the available rooms on the day the offer is released. For example:

Lets say a new marketing offer is planned to be released on 11/1/06. When Marketing created the offer they may have decided that we will discount 20% of the available rooms for each room type at each resort for this offer.

Prior to opening on the morning of 11/1/06 the system showed we had 100 standard rooms available at Pop Century on a given Tuesday, 50 rooms available on Wednesday and 10 rooms available on Friday of the same week. The system then assigns 20 discounted rooms for Tuesday arrivals, 10 discounted rooms for Wednesday arrivals and 2 discounted rooms for Friday arrivals. Once each of these discount rooms sell out they are gone. Individual Guest cancellations do not increase the number of available discounted rooms.

Now let say you wish to to stay with us on the above example week staying Tuesday - Saturday. As long as there was at least one discounted room left for your Tuesday arrival, and there was rack rate rooms available for Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Saturday, you would be able to book at the discounted rate for your entire stay.

I know this is somewhat long winded but hopefully this helps and I didn't loose anyone along the way.

Note the above is only an example using simple numbers for illustration purposes. The percentage of rooms discounted in any marketing offer can vary with each offer and is never released to the public. Also this percentage may vary by resort and by room type within the same offer. I am not (nor is anyone at DRC) privileged to the exact number of discounted rooms on any given offer, so please do not ask

Last time I checked the code for annual pass holders for April was FDA which gave a $25-$35 off per night Value resorts and even more for moderate and deluxe resorts.
Florida residents got the same discount but using code FDC.
I am not sure if these codes are still active because they always have a date that you must book by. They were still active a week ago.
Good Luck!

The BUC code can be used by anyone and it is for a room only with travel dates of 4/15 to 5/23.

The package codes that are out can also be used by anyone. Please keep in mind that if you are booked with AAA and are getting a discount, I don't think that Disney will allow you to double up on the discounts. I do believe that it has to be one or the other.

Perhaps JP can confirm this.

I just got off the phone about code ZHD. It was available for AS Sports but not Pop Century. We are traveling with family so we aren't able to change hotels. :( :(

That has been our luck this trip. Nothing has been available for our hotel or our room type (preferred room needed for medical reasons). 37 days and counting!!! Can't wait!!!

HI! We are going the same time you are, AND, we are staying at the POP, too. I am guessing we have the same Spring Break........ I noticed we are both from Alabama, too. HAVE FUN!
