Discount after I booked - What are my options?

I booked my trip 10/13/2012 - 10/20/2012 back in April so I'd have the 180 ADR window and get all the reservations I wanted. This was all well and good until this morning when I read another post on here about someone that booked.

I looked around and found : http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/special-offers/ (which I never knew of before)

Apparently there is now a 30% discount for most of the time I'm there and 25% for the other day. When I was looking at the availability online the chat specialist window popped up and I was advised to call reservations. When I called reservations I was told there was nothing that could be done. She (the reservation person) also claimed there were no rooms available at the resort despite the website claiming otherwise.

Normally I don't get too hot over something like this - but the savings I'm missing out on is quite significant. (7 days at Beach Club + Food & Dining) That's a few Disney Dollars right there.

Any ideas on what I can do? At this point I'd probably be happy if they even upgraded me from garden-view to club level and kept their $$

I booked our trip for similar dates back in August with rack rates. Then the AP discount was released, and I saved enough to upgrade to a Lagoon View at the Poly, all I did was call CRO and they made the change for me. Just went to the Disney web site last night, and found that the Sept-Dec Room only rates will save me an additional $550 (enough to board the dog in the kennel here, and pay for the rides to and from the airport). Called and talked to CRO, gave them the code, and got the discount. I think maybe now I happy with the total...unless I win a free trip!

I mean they may be telling the truth the Beach Club is a hard place to book at this time because of the food and wine...but I would keep trying...same with Boardwalk. We are staying the 14 through the 22nd this time around at the beach club villas and I had a harder time switching around my reservations after my 11 month window...but again there aren't as many villas for DVC members at Beach Club and Boardwalk do there still might be some cash rooms available. Just keep trying someone will finally get annoyed with you call 50 times and just give it to you lol

The issue was the platinum plan on the dining. So while I was hoping to get a discount, it's not the worst thing in the world.
