I've already seen the backup plans. A Cast Member stands in front of the Shaman, singing your favorite songs from Frozen with a banshee hand puppet on her shoulder. They're calling it "Singin' with the Shaman". Unfortunately it's an up-sell event. $145 plus theme park admission. Includes a Diet Coke and a blue cookie.
I believe there will be an upcharge after hours party which will have the animatronic busting some dance moves. Not sure if disco lighting will be included.

Sad to see the direction this site has taken over the years. I'm not certain if I am disappointed or fascinated watching a very small minority herd people into the Pit of Despair (over the Cliffs of Insanity?); either way, it is an interesting social experiment.

Regarding any backup plans:
You get no shaman before you get disco shaman. Creative Lighting Shaman is more likely than Disco, but less than no. If no shaman is chosen, then a filler backdrop becomes the front drop. Also a chance for backup shaman, but I havent heard that much on that, other than it was a possibility at one point.
