I need to set this up for my son for our upcoming trip in March. I know you can now do this ahead of time via a video chat. When I go to MyDisneyExperience, it looks like the only option is to join and wait possibly hours for an agent to connect. Does anyone know if you can schedule a time to do this or is it just wait on hold for as long as it takes?

Reports vary from person to person but anywhere from 2 to 8 hours.

I have been holding off doing this myself because I am hoping my doctor and specialists can pull a miracle out of their butts and get me pain free when standing for longer periods of time by October. If I still have issues by September 15th I am going to have to go through with this myself.

Took me 3 days but that was back the first week it started.
Someone just posted a thread yesterday or the day before saying that it was not too bad.
I think Disney may have worked out some kinks it was having in the beginning.

On a Friday (2/3), after 5pm it took less than 20 minutes. Looking back at talking with my friend on FB, my mom was already in the chat by 5:21; but I didn't even try to connect until after I got off work at 5, and even then I probably didn't do it right away. I initially wanted to get on just to see what waiting looked like, but all of the sudden we were in a chat asking to connect via video. She didn't get approved, so not sure how long the rest of the process (pre-selections) would take.
That's not too bad....I hope its less than an hour
