Directions from Orlando International Airport to Kissimmee

Hi there; Yesterday I google mapped directions from the airport to our condo (off site) in Kissimmee, the Runaway Beach Club (3000 Bonfire Beach Drive). Seems straight forward.

Our car rental place is on N. Frontage Road so once we pick it up, we'll take:
528 West, then merge onto the 1-4 West, then exit 68 to get on the 535 South.
Little stop at the 535 Liquor Store and then resume on 535 South to a few turns on Poinciana, Calypso and voila! There's Bonfire Drive.

I guess I shouldn't assume our rental has a built in toll-meter for the toll roads. I will ask them about this. Anyone have experience with rentals and toll roads? Thx

When I have rented a car in an area with toll roads, it has always been an additional per diem charge option. And unless you are going to be using a toll road every day, it isn't worth it. I've never run into a toll road without a cash/credit card option, except a stretch in Miami. But the ticket I got in the mail wasn't terribly expensive.

OK thank you so much. So these rental places will offer me this per diem rate option. I think I prefer the convenience of this as I don't want to mess around with change for a toll and I know we're going to need toll roads at least 4 of our 6 days.

Just be sure to do the math. Paying a bit extra for convenience is fine; paying 5X as much might not be.

Also, the per diem is for the whole rental period, so if you are renting for 7 days, you will be charged for 7 days - even if you only use a toll road 4-5 times.

The fee for those is usually about $10.50 per day, and you must pay that for each day of your rental. I doubt very much that your daily tolls would be that much.
