Dinosaur has seen better days

It was a great ride when it first opened but does need a huge overhaul. Maybe even replacing with something else. That whole area of the park is out of date. Lets hope something new is on the horizon..before next August lol :)

ROTR might have a shot for me. But Dinosaur is better than the other two in my opinion... When working properly.
Well, me and the wife always ride Dinosaur just for the laughs and every time we cone off it we always say "God, it really is the worst ride in Disney....even worse than Its a small world" 🤣

Each to their own though.....everyone likes different stuff. There must be a handful of people somewhere that like it otherwise it would drop below 5 minutes wait each day 😉

This is why I'm mystified why people are praising Living with the Land for some reason..I call it the ride when everything else is booked and you got nothing better to do..

Each to their own I guess but there literally nothing good to say about that ride.

Animatronics 0/10
Scenery 1/10
Immersiveness 2/10
Fun 1/10
Ride Quality 0/10
Ohhhhh there is one thing....
Wait times.....10/10 👍

Dinosaur hate boggles my mind. It has all the qualities that many on the forums ask for in new attractions: numerous (massive) animatronics, physical sets, solid thrill factor, great queue, great pre show, great ride vehicle, clear and interesting story, fits well within the park, great capacity, and best of all it’s not babified or an advertisement for Disney+ even if it is technically an IP tie-in. Same people complaining how they cheaped out by making it dark probably love Space Mountain and Cosmic Rewind.

It seems ironic many just enjoyed UoE just for the air conditioning and not the Dinos...I for one enjoyed both..

Funny you should mention Space Mountain....that is probably the 2nd worst ride in all of Disney. It needs a SERIOUS overhaul. If you go on Disney Paris' Cersion of Space mountain you'll know what I mean...practically the same ride just better visuals, smoother ride and a more fulfilling experience.

I went on Disneyland Paris' Space Mountain last September, and it didn't do much for me. Maybe it was just that the Jules Verne theme clashed so hard with the Star Wars overlay.

Back on topic-ish: I think dinosaur is a solid second-tier thrill ride. I tend to go on it more often than Expedition Everest, but that is probably a function of shorter/more air conditioned queue than anything about Everest. But it doesn't hold a candle to Indiana Jones Adventure. It's a good example of how two rides can be very similar on paper, but very different in execution.

If this ride is going to stick around, let's hope they can get it working to a higher standard. I feel like shortly before the pandemic, there was a refresh that made the ride look better than it ever had been. It's a shame it didn't last very long.

Slightly off topic but since people are talking about Dinosaur I wanted to drop this video here. Someone was able to get isolated dialogue and sound effects of the ride, including unused dialogue and what sounds like temp music. I wonder if they were ever considering having music on-ride like with Indy?

But the weirdest by far is at 16:00 with audio of a kid talking about a dinosaur going to the bathroom. I can’t think of any context in the ride where this makes sense.

We will be there in less than a month and apart from CoP this is high on my list - it has so much nostalgia for me despite knowing that it is no longer the attraction it once was. I know its time at WDW isnt going to be Long Term but liking fact that it is still there for me to ride when we go as a six soon.

I wonder if you just won't like rides that are physically challenging? Disney typically has very easy going rides and Space Mountain and Dinosaur are possibly two of the most demanding. Personally I love them and enjoy rides in other theme parks that are wayyyy beyond this level of physical demand.

For us it's by far the worst attraction in all of their Disney Park. It's terribly dated, visually poor and the ride system is uncomfortable at best.

But, reach to their own I guess. I have no idea how anyone could say this is their favourite ride in all of Disney, but hey, everyone's different I guess.

Personally I think it needs knocking down and a new modern attraction putting in it's place...I think its one of the only attractions at WDW that has always been a walk on each and every time I've been to AK...which says it all.
Most rides at DCA are far worse

Why would you knock down a ride at a park that needs a higher ride count? Even if you hate the ride, people are still going to go on it and that will bring down the wait times of the rides you do like.
