Dinner Reservation vs Very Merry Event

Salutations!

My dinner reservations on 12/25 are at 5:30pm, for 9 guests at Be Our Guest. The Very Merry Christmas Shindig starts at 7 and we are not attending. I called Disney Dining to ask about our reservation and the response I got was "as long as you're out of the park by 7 you should be fine."

I feel as though I'm stressing about this more than I should... I just think that a party of 9 on the busiest day imaginable, there may be some delays... in seating, in service... I don't want to do the "walk of non-wristband shame" down mainstreet escorted by security...

Someone put my fears to rest!

You will not be escorted out by security. If you are there past 7, you can simply walk out of the park and you will not be able to go on attractions. They also set up check points, typically at the hub, that you will not be able to cross.

I don't think the Very Merry Christmas Party is scheduled for 12/25. It doesn't show it on the calendar. Can someone confirm I also have BOG reservations that evening.
