Have a reservation here for dinner at 6:50. Possible to make it back to parks afterward for evening activities. We are late throwing this trip together and having to take whatever ADR are left over.

It will all depend on when the parks close. Dinner at WCC will take around and hour to an hour and a half. If it is during the summer when the parks are open late then you should be fine. If it is during a time when the parks close at 9 about all you will be able to squeeze in will be the fireworks.

Like Yoda said, it depends on when the parks close.

The actual travel times aren't bad with the Wilderness Lodge offering bus and boat (best option IMO) services. I don't think it has ever taken more than 30mins to do the journey (although in reverse is another matter!).

Just head over to the Disney site to see the opening times and take it from there.

Is there anything we'd want to visit at Wilderness Lodge while we're there in lieu of rushing back to the parks?
There is quite a bit to take in at WL. I could easily spend a good deal of time just in the lobby and around the pool. If you search through the podcasts on Lou Mongello's site he did a Disney CSI episode on WL and it goes deeper than you could possibly imagine into all of the details associated with WL.

Thanks for the advice. I'll check out those podcasts. Also, the Iron Spike room sounds like something our son would love.

Pooh's Buddy--how old is your avi pic? Is that Rev VIII? She looks a little smaller than Rev VII to me.

This picture was taken at the Capitol City A&M Club's coaches' night and fish fry, I think taken in June 2006. I'm a longhorn - I don't know which number Rev this is, but this is the recently retired mascot.

When are y'all going? I'd like to hear what y'all think of the Iron Spike Room.

You also might be able to catch the Electrical Water Pageant on Bay Lake from the boat dock. Ask at the front desk for the time, it's usually around 8:30 - 9:00.

Do the Hidden Mickey hunt in the lobby, look at all the artifacts that are there, grab a hot cocoa or coffee at the Roarin' Forks and then sip it in front of the huge fireplace. Check out the geyser, ... the list goes on and on.

And don't overlook being out at poolside on the hour to enjoy Old Truly-Faithful.

I was a little underwhelmed by this but still glad I saw it.

Whilst at WDW it's worth taking some time to walk round the outside (I love the stream running from the lobby to the pool). My personal fav thing to do is hire a boat from the dock and go have a look round (especially at the old river island location)

The Iron Spike Room is at the WLVillas which is right next door to WL. It is off to the right as you walk through the doors.
