Disney's Dining Experience (DDE) is offering 70 guests the opportunity of Dinner at the Haunted Mansion on Tuesday September 17.
The evening begins with hors d'oeuvres and wine on the Liberty Belle Riverboat, followed by a 6 course dinner in the Haunted Mansion, hosted by Madame Carlotta (the mistress of the Mansion), and served by the head butler, Broom, and his staff.
Guests will depart at 10:45 p.m.
The cost will be $125 per person, including wine.

I have only been a member of DDE for a short time, and don't know whether this has been offered before.
Does anyone have any information?
Sounds great (if expensive) fun!

Sorry, I'm afraid that it's another of those perks for those of us living in Florida:(
Basically, for $60 a year, you get a card which gives you a 20% discount at nearly all WDW's full service restaurants, including resorts, etc.
They also have other special events, including the one at HM. There is also a German Treasures Luncheon at V&A next month for $95.
However, the normal discount is a great deal if you are local, and use it enough - as I have already :)
For further details, see http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wa...ypeindex?id=TKTDisneysDiningExperienceTktType
(I don't know whether this will work if you don't log in as a passholder)

Thanks for the info. Wow! That sounds fantastic. I would love to move to Florida. I've heard good and bad...what's your take if you don't mind my asking.

Well, I moved here about 30 months ago from the UK to work. Actually, I'm now in the process of trying to get my Green Card (permanent residence), and in due course also citizenship, so living in Florida certainly hasn't put me off:)
I live about 30 minutes north of WDW, so everything is easy to reach.
I guess that many people would find Florida a great place to live, although I have to travel far to find some hills and snow, but I don't really miss the UK too much - there's always the UK Pavilion at Epcot if I get homesick (even though it's not really like home, but there is the beer and the fish and chips!).
Florida has great weather, even in the summer (I used to live in Hong Kong, so I'm used to it); low taxes (no state income tax, 6-7% sales tax); wonderful beaches; good people; and Disney.
What more could you want!
(BTW I'm 44, going on 21 - not bad for an Episcopal Priest!)

Wow, that sounds cool. Where exactly would the dinner take place?

It would be so cool if it was in the ballroom! Then they can turn of the ghosts and everyone can dance with them.

If you do go to the dinner PLEASE take pictures and post them here. I would love to see how they set it up and some of the things that go on.

OK.. I know some of the details. The dinner takes place in the lobby, just before the stretching rooms. I've heard from someone who has done it previously, and from a CM who served at one. That is why it is limited to 70 people.. all the lobby can hold for dinner.

But, who cares??? Dinner at the mansion rules man!!!!

The one they did in Disney Land was on October 25, 2000.

It cost $2000 a seat and they gave out special plates with scenes from the haunted mansion on them...
