Dinner and La Nouba

Hi all,

I'm graduating college this May and my family will be visiting the world in June! I wanted to do something special for my parents to thank them for everything they've done for me throughout my college years and I decided to get them tickets to La Nouba and pay for their dinner beforehand. Two questions: I want to buy tickets for the 9PM showing, would a dinner time of 6:30 work? I'm planning on picking either House of Blue or Wolfgang Puck Cafe so distance won't be an issue. And that leads to question #2! I've never been to either of those restaurants so which would you recommend? Thanks for your help!

Those times should work great, they give you a little wiggle room and time to get to show decently before start. As to dinner, might I suggest Raglan Road as alternative to consider? It's a little farther but is less noisy/crowded than HoB and much warmer and inviting than WPC but still has good food. Don't get me wrong, neither of those are bad choices...just thinking family time. Also as a mention, with the construction going on and crummy parking/bus situation, you'll want to give yourselves extra time to get to dinner whatever you decide. It took us a solid half hour a couple of months ago for what should have been a 10min trip just to get to DTD - not sure how it will be in June but imagine not much better... Good luck and congratulations!!!!

That is exactly what we did....6:30 dinner reservations for La Nouba at 9. We had dinner at Raglan Road and absolutely loved it and La Nuoba was incredible.
What a wonderful daughter to be so thoughtful of your parents and what wonderful parents they must be to raise such a thoughtful child. :cat:

What a wonderful gift!

I think 6:30 is a great time for dinner to make it to the 9 pm showing.

One of the best tips I was ever given about the show was from mousesavers.com:
Category 2 (BEST VALUE, in my opinion) seats are $99.05 for adults (ages 10 and up), $78.81 for children (ages 3-9), tax included. These seats are in sections 101, 105 (close but off to the side), and portions of 202-206 (high up but relatively center). These are very good seats, especially if you can get sections 203, 204 or 205, ideally in Row FF or GG, where you are looking straight across at the aerial activities and down at the stage. Or, if you like to be right up front, take the 101 or 105 seats, since being centered for this show is not really critical. This is the ticket category that is most often discounted, and I highly recommend it.

I sat in row FF in section 204 and it was amazing.

Those restaurants are both on the same level for me, so I think either choice is fine.
