Advisory note from WDW Resort:
"At the Walt Disney World Resort, we regularly evaluate our offerings and make appropriate adjustments based on creative and operational needs. As a result, the Dining with Chef Remy offering at Chefs de France will have its final performance October 24, 2013. The character will officially leave the park on Friday, October 25, 2013".

Bummer. I always wanted to go there to see Remy, but it never fit in our plans. So many other places we wanted to eat too.

This is in preparation of the new Remy themed TS where each table will have a hidden trap door that Remy can appear from. With MM+ he will know your name. He will take your order too!

Oh no! I am sad about this. I finally booked Chefs about a month ago becausey 2 boys watched Ratatouille! I told them that Remy was there so they were a go....

Oh well. I am sure it will still be yummy (the boulangerie is AMAZING). Just no cute mouse!

So happy we went and saw him in September. Food was amazing and Remy was adorable! Sad.

Remy was always hit and miss. We ate there two years ago and we were disappointed that he wasn't there. Luckily I had not mentioned anything about him to the DDs. My parents ate there for lunch another time (during a less busy time) and they got to see him. They said it was really cute. It's a shame that they are taking him away. C'est la vie. Au revoir, Remy.

Is there video of this event anywhere? I've never seen it, though I've eaten there before. Was it an animatronic deal or something else? If the prior, makes me think of how they closed down Luxo Junior @ Pixar Place. Was that really so much to maintain?

Saw it. It was fine. Don't care that it's going away. I have a fairly strict "Don't harass us when we're dining" policy. That extends to animatronics.

Kinda sad that there is another amenity cut. He always seemed well received by all of the guests when I have dined there.

So did I, it's a darn shame. I wonder if he's still just sitting there behind the louvered doors? Considering that there's always a crowd out there, it would be enjoyed by hundreds of, if not more, guests each day.
