Love Skipper's Canteen! Definitely a big winner for our family as a whole! People seem to shy because it's "exotic" or something but we all loved it.


Kind of far from MK isn't it? We think Sanaa is great though, but it would take too long to get there IMO with 3 little ones.

Sorry! We are such an uber family. I am not a big fan of eating in MK except for Skipper Canteen.

Go to Whispering Canyon! Since the day is 'short' it will make for the perfect evening. You can always try Skipper while you're in the park for a fuller day. I'm all about experiences.

So I actually ended up finding a whispering canyon ADR for 7 so I took that. It sounds like the kids will enjoy it. I'm still wondering about skippers canteen though!! Ever since it opened I've wanted to try it! Argh!!!!! I can't decide where I want to go for dinner the day of, much less 3 months out!! Lol

Good thing about Skippers Canteen is that is rather easily booked compared to other locations. We went for lunch just to take a break and there were a lot of walk ups that day when we checked in.

Like you we don't do well with planning too early. I think I made the ADR for that one about 2 weeks out?

We rent cars so we can do things like that too, though MK is the one park I don't like to drive to (with the parking/tram/ferry/monorail etc it takes so long). We aren't MK food fans either outside of Skipper's Canteen. We'll do BOG if we get it for lunch, but otherwise we like to go elsewhere too

We took the boat from MK to Trails End for the first time on our last trip. I know you said no buffets, but there really seemed to be something for everyone here. We'd definitely go back.

We love Skipper Canteen! We were there last year and made reservations to go again in August. If you want to go to Disney Springs I would suggest Homecomings. Have fun! Whatever you decide will be great!
