Just wanted to let everyone know, I was able to book Le Cellar for Sept. 19th at 4:20... :sohappy: So anyone looking for that last minute reservation, just keep trying.

We booked Le Cellier for 4:30 on the 11th. I keep calling to see if I can change it to a later time, but nothing is open. This happens every year. If you want Le Cellier you really have to book 6 months in advance and you still may have a hard time. But people do cancel their reservations, so keep calling you'll probably get in. Maybe not at a desirable time, but you'll get in.

as much as i like the dinning plan cause it opens up where & what we eat it also has taken away the magic of planning a trip. it has come down to having to decide what parks your are going to on what day atleast 4-6 months in advance. i like the good old days of waking up in the morning & say ok what park are we going to today....where does everyone want to eat? to me i like that better than what is going on now. i am sure other people have said the same thing but there is my opinion.

My dh and I want to eat at Le Cellier in September but all they have at dinner is a table for 4 on the 16th. So if there are any couples out there that would like to have dinner with a fellow wdwmagic member, let me know.

I'm not opposed to eating with complete strangers just to get reservations.

Counter Service Rules !

It frees you up. You're free. No restrictions.
You become a free spirit, able to move around the parks as nature intended.
Au naturelle.

we have been having the same issues getting reservations for our stay Nov 28th - Dec 5th or 6th. Seems like everything is booked up, or so they say! We were able to get some, but not too many of the places we like. We have 4 adults and a baby who will be not quite 8 months old. Well they have to count the baby for the reservation, so we have to try for a 5 table which is hard to come by. We really wanted to get Donald's breakfast in AK, but we have called several times and nothing. For some restaurants we asked about lunch and what the latest time possible was and we were able to get like a 3:40 which isn't too bad for an early dinner. Especially since the first available dinner time was 8 pm!

I too, remember the times when we would decide which park we wanted to visit the night before and that morning we would go in the park and right to guest services and make a reservation for that night for dinner and there was never an issue of getting in. And that was with a party of 8-12 people. What happened to those days!

Does anyone think the new dining system that maybe or may not be available online could make things easier?? :brick:

I REALLY want to try Le Cellier for an "adult only" dinner but if a table of 4 is the only thing available I guess it's a family meal :ROFLOL:

I really don't think so. I think that it will be easier that you don't have to speak to a person and you can do it yourself, but I think it will still be hard to get reservations, especially since everyone will be online at the same time and can look for reservations and then hold them at the same time you are looking. Then when they decide they don't want them, they release them. I think its just to free up some of the call volume that wdw dine gets. Not everyone plans their disney vacations 6 months in advance, alot of people are last minute, hey lets go to disney in 2 months! I know that is us. We will say we aren't going for a while and then all of the sudden, we get that itch and here we are planning a trip for the end of November and its August! I just think there has to be a way to accomodate the people who plan a year in advance and also the people who need a last minute disney fix! Maybe they need to make available so many tables at 180 days and then the rest of the tables come available at 90 days so that it gives everyone an equal chance to get them.

I think that the new Quick Service Dining option will alleviate some of the stress on the table service restaurants and make dining reservations maybe just a little easier to obtain.....

We are taking my 2 yr old son for his first ever Disney World Trip! :sohappy:

I will be in Disney World this October. And on October 5th I would like to go to Chef Mickey for breakfast. Unfortunately, they are totally booked. :(

My Question: What is the best way to find out if someone canceled their reservation?

and/or

Does anyone here have a Chef Mickey ADR cancellation for October 5th Breakfast?

Thanks!
